We all know that exercise is important for our general health and wellbeing but it's never been more important than at perimenopause. So many of us continue moving (or not moving) our bodies in the same way as we did in our 20s and 30s but our changing bodies at midlife means that the type of movement we are doing also needs to change.
This week I chat to personal trainer Kate Rowe-Ham. Kate is passionate about motivating and inspiring women to move their bodies and helping them find ways to make time to get fit and stay fit, particularly during menopause.
Kate is a busy mum of 3 and has first hand experience of heading into peri-menopause so knows how some of the symptoms can leave you feeling overwhelmed and anxious.
Kate is currently launching a new App called Owning Your Menopause, which is an online community supporting women through menopause with workouts, nutritional advice, a weekly clinic and an online community.
In this conversation we delve into the positive impact exercise has, particularly during perimenopause.
